Promethist Watchdog

Uninstall

Uninstall from Settings → Apps → Installed apps. This removes the program, the start-at-login task, the stored SMTP password, emergency-shutdown password and status-report key, the logs, and Watchdog’s data directory — where your list of apps lives. It stops Watchdog first, and with it the apps it supervises.

That includes the internet-connection record (Proving the network was the problem), which lives under the log folder and may be years of it. Copy <log_root>\network\ somewhere else first if you might still need to answer a question about that machine.

If you might reinstall, export the configuration first (Backing up the configuration) and keep the file somewhere Watchdog does not own.

One thing is not removed: if you added a firewall rule for the emergency-shutdown network trigger (Shutting down when the power fails), Watchdog did not create it and does not delete it. Remove it yourself, as administrator:

netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name="Promethist Watchdog emergency shutdown"
